I’m Kate, a qualified primary school teacher, homeschooling parent, and education consultant with over 16 years of experience in education. Through Kate Education, I support you in understanding your child’s learning, navigating the school system, and exploring homeschooling in a way that feels manageable and accessible.
My aim is simple: to help you feel informed, supported, and empowered in your child’s education — whether your child is in school or learning at home.
Why I Created Kate Education
Spending two years traveling by boat with my family gives me the incredible opportunity to teach my children every day and watch them grow academically while truly enjoying life to the fullest. Along the way, I meet many homeschooling families, some facing real challenges, and through these experiences and my own research, I continue to realize how important it is to create an honest, supportive, and professional website for families on this journey.

My Teaching Background
I have worked in primary education for nearly two decades, teaching children across a wide range of ages, abilities, and learning needs. My experience includes working closely with parents to support learning both in and out of the classroom.

David is an integral part of Kate Education, combining over a decade of experience in both education and technology to help develop the tools and resources behind the platform.
With more than 10 years in IT and web development, and over 10 years working in education, he brings a rare combination of technical expertise and classroom experience.
He is a qualified Maths, ICT, and Computer Science teacher, with experience across a range of curricula including the English National Curriculum, IB, IGCSE, and A-Level.
Key experience includes:
